“Andy’s Perspective” #

We played Hold Ground, and the White Council decided they didn’t need to come on until turn 3. However, when they did turn up the proceeded to annihilate Shagrat and his warband immediately 😂

I then choke pointed (worth noting we played using the ice on my board with a rule of rolling a 1 on the ice meant you fell through it for an added bit of funkiness). We had a proper laugh just casting some more of the unusual spells at each other. The WC chomped through orcs and black nums as quickly as they could, culminating in the WK dying as he ran out of will after throwing himself at Elrond and then resisting 4 spells, only to be knocked prone by the last one 😂

The Dark Marshall’s aura of command and 6’ banner was great and held my orcs in place after I broke. He then charged and trapped Galadriel with 4 orcs, killing her in one go.

Game finally ended 10-6 to me, with Shelob barging Gandalf out the way to get onto the objective at the end.

“Mitch’s Perspective” #

Was a great fun game today! @Andy Moore and I chose the scenario that’d be balanced and play out the most enjoyable. Also used a list with a bit of everything. My WC rolled consecutive 1’s for the first two turns which wasn’t ideal but turn three and four my lads battered through Shagrat and his lads. Like Andy said there were lots of different spells flying back and fourth causing some unusual and funny moments. I got bogged down at a choke when the resources were being used at will and might was getting thrown around to pierce through. The game ended right on queue for Mordor, another turn and the WC would’ve taken the dub. Such a fun game which had us laughing throughout. There were two hysterical moments in the game….

First was radagast losing to Shelob ( won two combats on single dice Nat 6’s against 3 dice ) first he paralysed raddy with the venom and took a round, second turn rolled two dice to see if he could un paralyse but failed so used Saruman to remove the effect then then natures wrath was used to knock Shelob prone, charged her but lost on a 6, tried to charge next turn and rolled snakes and couldn’t do anything 😂

The best one was this…. The wk had 3 will left and resisted 3/4 spells, one on a Nat 6 to save it which was needed and left the wk on one will left. The fourth spell from Gandalf was sorcerous blast and knocked Elrond, the wk and an orc prone. Neither of us had might so we were fighting to stand up…. This is how the dice went (in the photos below) 😅 (Elrond rerolls two for being a banner and Lord of the west. The wk rerolls two for the orc banner and the dark Marshall) we were laughing so hard 😂

@Andy Moore won the fight, wk and orc stood up and the wk fled 🤣

Also…. A mention to Sebastian killing an Uruk hai 😂 and thrain for getting double on all his rolls until the last turn when he decided to succumb to the evil eye 😂
