Eligibility #
- Players must be able to attend games in Basingstoke or suitably distanced locations. If players are unavailable to play in either of the listed venues between 6-11pm then you will not be allowed to enter.
- Must be 16+
Format #
The format will change dependant on the amount of players who register
Option 1- Up to 9 Players
Every player will play one game against each player in the league
Top 4 Advance to Finals
Option 2 - Up to 15 Players
Players are split into 2 leagues and will play one game each against all players in their own league
Top 2 from each group advance to the Finals
Finals -
After all league games are complete, qualified players will be invited to a final single-elimination bracket seeded based on results
Scoring #
Win - 3 Points
Loss - 0
Draw - 1
Tiebreakers - Total VP, Head to head, tiebreaker match
Reporting #
Both players must agree on the final result of the game, and each must submit the score to count

Schedule #
- Once the league begins all games should aim to be completed as soon as possible.
- An example schedule will be given with suggested games, but players are free to arrange dates and times as they wish with their opponents.
- Any game score can be reported at any time.
Arranging Games #
All players must be in the Hampshire Hobbit League Facebook Group Chat
Players can then arrange games between themselves via the chat or DM
Please respond to your opponents promptly. If you are struggling to contact your opponent, please get in touch with the admins.
Drops & Conceding #
If both players have made a reasonable effort to arrange a game but it has not been possible, the game will be defaulted to a 10-10 Draw. Contact the admins to resolve.
If a player decides to drop out of the league at any time before all fixtures are completed, all previous results will be voided.

Playing From Home #
Players can both agree to play from home. A player can reserve the right to refuse this request
Playing from other venues #
Players can suggest other venues to be added to the list if they are within a reasonable distance
Army Rules #
Lists
Players can submit up to 2 Evil Lists and 2 Good 700 point lists but must have a minimum of 1 of each.
These must be submitted to Siege Ladder.
Per game, you will be assigned the good or evil faction and may choose to use either of the 2 lists per game (If assigned as the evil player, you can use your Harad or Gundabad list, for example)
Each list must adhere to official army rules designated in the MESBG rulebook and army books, and the most recent FAQ of MESBG.
It is recommended to use the MESBG LIST BUILDER to create accurate lists: https://v2024.mesbg-list-builder.com/ (This now has accounts, in-game scoring/MWF tracking and can be saved as a bookmark app on most phones)
Legacy models and lists are permitted
Army lists may be adjusted between games with the following rules:
- The army leader may not be changed (If the army leader is based on highest tier then you cannot take a higher tier model in this case)
- The amount of heroes you have cannot change but you can change the heroes
- Only 200 points of troops may be changed
- You many only change a list after it has been used each time
Which side you play will be assigned by the tournament organiser randomly
Painting
Models do not need to be painted, but it is encouraged
3D Printed Models
These are permitted, but it is encouraged that you use official Games Workshop models for heroes to easily distinguish them
Entry Fee #
There is no entry fee but donations are welcome towards a trophy for the league winner via Paypal (Contact Ash Attwater)
